MAKE A DONATION

Kingsway College School in Toronto.

When you make a donation to Anaphylaxis Canada, you can rest assured that your money will be go directly toward program costs. We keep our overhead to a bare minimum so that we can channel almost all of our funds into research and education.

There are many ways in which you can make a donation. Some people donate their time and talent. Others prefer to make a financial contribution.

There are also many ways to make a monetary donation. For example, your company may allow you to direct your charitable donations. If so, you can request that Anaphylaxis Canada be one of their listed recipient charities.

We also encourage local fundraising events. No effort is too small. A local public school is donating the proceeds of their September Walkathon and several support groups are holding garage sales.

Tax receipts can be provided for all recorded and approved donation efforts.

I Enjoy a Great Life
To look at me, I am a perfectly normal kid. I enjoy rock climbing, horseback riding and I play the drums, but I suffer from anaphylaxis.

This is a life-threatening allergic reaction. In my case it is an allergy to nuts, seeds and coconut.

I'd like everybody who reads this to take allergies seriously. Any kid who has trouble coping should just remember that we're all special and that my allergies don't stop me from participating and enjoying life.
What is Anaphylaxis?
Anaphylaxis (anna - fill -axis) is a serious allergic reaction. It can be life-threatening. Food is the most common cause of anaphylaxis, but insect stings, medicine, latex, or exercise can also cause a reaction. The commonest food allergens are peanuts, tree nuts, seafood, egg and milk products.
