Anaphylaxis Canada
has helped raise public awareness about life-threatening allergies, making
Canada a safer place for individuals at risk. In the past few years, we've
developed:
- Two first-rate websites
- The S.A.F.E. (Support Allergic Friends Everywhere)
program for schools
- An expanded newsletter that reaches all Canadian allergists
- The Canadian Anaphylaxis Registry
- Several research projects
- The Canadian Anaphylaxis Research Award
- Phone support services
We have been asked to advise as consultants to the media,
Health Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the Canadian School
Boards Association, the food and travel industries, and the Hospital for
Sick Children.
We have been able to do this valuable work thanks to the generous donations
we receive each year. But much remains to be done.
A new way to give with ECHOage
Anaphylaxis Canada is pleased to let you know that we
have been selected by ECHOage.com as one of its charities
of choice.
ECHOage.com is a charity-driven, eco-friendly birthday
party service for children and parents. ECHOage provides
an opportunity for children to celebrate their birthdays
with their friends and family in an environmentally-friendly
way. Instead of bringing a wrapped and packaged present,
guests simply RSVP and make a secure online contribution
to the birthday child.
ECHOage collects all of the contributions received and
sends half the proceeds to the child for the purchase
of ONE special gift and makes a donation to the charity
of their choice with the balance. ECHOage takes care
of all online donations received, making it easy for
guests to participate in this memorable event. This
concept allows the children to learn the value of giving
and receiving while celebrating their special day.
