PHILLIP HAID is
currently a director and volunteer President of the Board
of Directors of Anaphylaxis Canada. Phillip is Co-founder
and CEO of Public Inc., a social purpose business that creates
fundraising, advocacy and volunteer engagement campaigns for
social causes. Phillip has a six year old son that is anaphylactic
to peanuts and tree nuts and a four year old son that is allergic
to fish.
MICHAEL PRICE is
the Past President of Anaphylaxis Canada. Michael is Vice
President Sales, North America for Bellville Rodair International,
a company focused on delivering specialised services within
the fast paced world of international freight forwarding and
logistics . Michael has a 16 year-old son who is allergic
to dairy, egg, shellfish, penicillin and anaphylactic to nuts
and tree nuts.
LAURIE HARADA
is a non-voting member of the Board. She began volunteering
in 2000 when she established the Toronto Anaphylaxis Education
Group and was hired in May 2003 as the Executive Director.
Laurie is the mother of a 10 year-old son with multiple food
allergies. Laurie has a background in education and spent
11 years at an international food company
SARAH CASKEY is
a director of Anaphylaxis Canada. She holds a Ph.D. in English
literature and teaches Canadian literature at the University
of Toronto, with a focus on the Canadian short story and the
contemporary Canadian novel. Sarah obtained her Bachelor and
Masters degrees from Trinity College, University of Toronto,
and her doctorate from The University of Western Ontario.
Sarah has two children, one of whom has anaphylactic allergies
to peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame seeds.
CELIA DENOV is
a Registered Social Worker, and a principal of C. Denov &
Associates, policy consultants. Celia was formerly an Ontario
Public Servant with the Ministries of Health, and Community
and Social Services and took early retirement at the level
of Assistant Deputy Minister. Celia has had an anaphylactic
allergy to sesame seeds since childhood and survived a cardiac
arrest at age 24.
LISA HAMATHER is
currently a director of Anaphylaxis Canada. Lisa is a Partner
with Jarislowsky Fraser Limited, one of the largest Canadian
investment management firms specializing in the management
of both pension and private client assets. She completed her
Master of Business Administration at the Rotman School of
Business in Toronto. Lisa has a five year old son that is
allergic to adhesive bandages and anaphylactic to peanuts
and tree nuts.
DOUG PERRY is currently a director
of Anaphylaxis Canada. Doug is Regional Vice President at
Salesforce.com, an international leader in business software,
based in San Francisco. Previously, Doug held the following
Executive positions at Rogers Communications. Vice-President
of Small Business Markets, Vice-President of Sales and Distribution,
and Vice-President and General Manager for Rogers Wireless,
based in Ottawa. Doug enjoys an active lifestyle, coaches
hockey and soccer in the community and has two children that
are both Anaphylactic to peanuts and tree nuts.
ALLAN REYNOLDS
is currently a director of Anaphylaxis Canada, having special
involvement in public and media relations. Allan is Vice President
of Industry and Member Relations for the Canadian Association
for Pharmacy Distribution Management, a leading healthcare
business association. Allan is involved in strategic public
affairs planning and counsel for a wide range of corporate,
public sector and non-profit clients. He is also a member
of the board of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario
and a member of the Toronto Board of Trade program development
committee. Allan has two children, one of whom is a 25 year-old
with an anaphylactic allergy to peanuts.
JEFF SMITH is currently
a director of Anaphylaxis Canada. He has served as a volunteer
Director of prominent charities in British Columbia since
1999, including 6 years on the board of Covenant House Vancouver.
Trained as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young,
Jeff spent the past 10 years in business development and operations
and was the Global Director of Partnerships for SAP's OnDemand
business unit. He is currently Vice President, Commercial
at CHC Helicopters, the world's largest provider of helicopter
services. His 4-year-old daughter is at risk for anaphylaxis
to peanut and egg, and is severely allergic to dogs.
DAVID ULLMANN is
currently a director of Anaphylaxis Canada. David is an associate
with Minden Gross Grafstein & Greenstein Firm. David practices
extensively with respect to insolvency and in particular,
insolvent technology companies. David received his B.A.H.
in history at Queen's University and his LL.B. from Osgoode
Hall Law School. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1999.
David is anaphylactic to peanuts.
BRIAN BRENNAN, CA
is currently a director and Treasurer at Anaphylaxis Canada.
Brian Is the principal partner at MAX Potential, an organization
dedicated to the success and development of management teams
and senior executives in various organizations. He is also a
Chair with TEC Canada. Prior to joining the Board he was engaged
in public speaking on behalf of Anaphylaxis Canada. Brian and
his wife have three children two of whom are anaphylactic to
peanuts and tree nuts.
